Artist Statement
Stylistically inspired by scientific textbook illustrations, Rick Newton presents his personal mythology concerning the future of our world. Incorporating Cold War imagery interacting with animal life set in surreal landscapes he supposes a world where there has been a shift in hierarchy.
Rick Newton was born in West Palm Beach Florida. He received a BFA in Boston from the Massachusetts College of Art.
